surprise phone call - 11:55 AM

i woke up this morning to an email from shroom's dad, smiley's poppy, rudi. he wrote:
"Hello Cori, You won't believe it, we got a surprise phone call this morning 1-00am our time ie 6-00pm your time( I thought someone must have died so I jumped out of bed to answer it) . I could hear Riley trying to have a conversation and I could hear you in the background telling him to put it down. He is a very smart boy to call his Poppy. Thank him for me............Regards.....Rudi"

i remember him playing with the phone last night shortly before we were heading out to a bbq & i recalled thinking to myself, "i hope that he hasn't actually made a call this time. i'd better check."
i got him to give it to me & i saw on the display that it had been going for thirty seconds. it starts counting the seconds after a call is connected (which i only just found out now to confirm that) so he did indeed manage to make a call! i didn't realise that last night, so i could have actually said hello to rudi before hanging up. oh well. he was probably too sleepy to talk anyway. hehe.
i guess he must have hit the redial button.
Hee! Too funny. I remember when my cousin was very small he rang my mother one morning and asked her if she could tell him what the lotto numbers were from the night before. She assumed my Uncle had asked him to call her, so she duly called the numbers out to him. She found out later he'd done it off his own bat!
