staying to visit for longer - 11:40 AM

in an email between shroom & i the other day, we talked about how it's already 51 degrees (centigrade) in bahrain even before the middle of summer. he's quite concerned about how smiley will handle the heat. yes, we have air conditioning in our house, but you have to go outside sometimes. he suggested that smiley & i stay until september, when the worst of the summer heat is over.
i thought about it & have decided that we will stay. my reason isn't so much to avoid the heat, though. smiley's been really enjoying seeing his family, especially his nanna & poppy (shroom's mum & dad). even when we leave the house for two minutes, he's already asking to "see poppy?" he's at the age where he'll forget who his family members are if he doesn't get a chance to spend much time with them, so i'm keen for him to be able to see them for more than just the one month visit as originally planned. many expats living in bahrain do as we're doing & go away for a few months over summer. it's really that hot.
so smiley's getting on cam to see daddy as often as possible. poor shroom will miss him a lot, but we'll do our best to get them seeing each other as often as possible.

that's great that you can stay longer & smiley can spend some more time for family - will be hard for the 3 of you to be apart for so long but makes sense to stay out of the heat!
