a mickey? - 12:54 PM
either someone slipped me a mickey or else i'm suffering a strange sort of heart-racing-induced insomnia.
i haven't slept properly for two days now. last night i lay in bed for about four hours trying to get to bed nice & early to be ready for the ultra light flight (it was actually a micro light & yeah, it was awesome) & couldn't sleep. i don't mean i slept fitfully, i mean i didn't sleep. eventually i gave up at about 2am & found shroom down the road playing pool, so i stayed there for a little while watching him get the pants beat off him (not literally, thankfully) by lady boys. mind you, the one girl only won because she was cheating something chronic! when i returned to bed at shortly before 5am, i thought surely i'd sleep, but no such luck. i lay there sitll not sleeping all the way to our 7am wake up call.
at 1pm i thought i'd surely be ready for some sleep but this time i slept for about three minutes at a time. just long enough to have odd dreams & then check my watch & see that it was fifteen minutes after the last time i checked. this went on for two hours.
my heart beat is going too fast for someone who's dead tired, even when i'm in a (supposedly) resting state, which is why i wonder if someone slipped something into my drink. if they did, i'm not sure what they intended to achieve, because i thought people only slipped you a mickey if they wanted you to be knocked out .. not to wake you up! so maybe i'm just all revved up for some other reason.
my poor body's ready to drop, but my head & my heart won't let it. lol!! let's hope i can at least get some sleep on the plane back home tomorrow night, even if it has to be done lying down.

Oh my gosh you poor thing!. Hope you feel better soon. Maybe it's just your "biological clock" playing tricks with you. Sometimes our bodies don't like it when we do things to it that we haven't done in ages. I was a bit like that the other night after a good night out on the town. I couldn't believe the fun I had..I thought someone had slipped something in my drink too!.
