smiley really likes thomas the tank engine. it started with a shirt & pants set that i bought him when i arrived in australia. it's a lovely red shirt with thomas on the front. he used to never want to take it off & watch out if it needed to go into the wash!
so for his third birthday (on the 11th of this month), smiley got a thomas the tank engine & friends 'take along' set from his other nanna (my mum) which included some track, two small train characters & a large (empty) thomas shaped storage case for the trains.
a friend gave smiley some spending money for his birthday, so we went to buy some more train characters & some more track. not a great picture, but you can see him playing with it here. one of characters we bought was thomas himself which came with a small hill & some props, featured in a dvd included with the pack.
for some reason, the dvd is an american version. it's so odd to hear the narration & the characters speaking with american accents rather than the usual british voices.
accent..what accent? everybody has accents but us. lol

I rpobably should say this.. but I will...
It's scary the amount of kids who come through to get an autism diagnosis that are OBSESSED with thomas 0.0
But I was a toe-walker also in love with that little blue engine, and I came out okay in the end :p
