things are coming together nicely.
i've now organised the phone & the internet for my new place. the phone's not connected yet, but it will be within a few days, all going well. the internet will take a bit longer, but i won't have any access until my computer arrives from bahrain, anyway. hopefully that won't take too much longer.
i also have transport! i am now the proud new owner (almost, we're still arranging transfer of the rego etc) of a 1993 emerald green ford festiva. it's melanie's old car, fiona, since she bought a new one. i've been driving her around for a couple of days now & i've been enjoying her immensely. she's a lovely little car. i'll take some pics as soon as i can, but if melanie pipes up, she may be able to link to a good pic she might already have.

independence isn't complete with wheels. because of its maturity you'll have to learn auto mechanics now. lol! oil and filter changes, spark plug cleanup and changing, etc. nothing is grander than tackling and winning over a new task. hmmmm, sounds familiar.
