first house guest - 10:06 PM

in three weeks i'll be having my first house guest! sherry, my best friend since grade 6 (umm, i guess i was ten or eleven years old when we met), is coming to stay for a few days. yay!
she just texted the details of her flight times to my phone, so now i know exactly when she'll be here. very exciting.

here are some pics of a couple of pieces of the new furniture i've purchased recently:
- smiley with his new set of drawers, demonstrating how they work.
- the bedhead behind my bed.
- a closer view of the slide out shelving/storage part.
- the slide out shelving half slid out.
- a part which might ordinarily be hidden since it's probably meant to face the other way, but i like it this way, so i'll probably stain that support beam thing darker so it's not as obvious.

a few night ago after i'd finished putting together smiley's set of drawers, he promptly & with great glee put a few things in the drawers that were previously on the floor. after that, he lay down with me on his bed since it was around bed time for him.
after about ten minutes of lying there having boobie & looking over the top of me at his new drawers, he suddenly hopped off & said something about the top being on the bottom & the bottom at the top.
he climbed out of bed, pulled the top & bottom drawers out & swapped them over, so that the bottom one, which had his pajamas in it, was now at the top & the top one, which had a packet of 'lightning mcqueen' tissues in it, was now at the bottom.
he then got back into bed, lay beside me, got back on the boobie & promptly fell asleep. he must have been lying there the whole time thinking that it just wasn't quite right. rotfl! 
not in the car - 06:55 AM

as a side note to my entry here about overloading the car to the point of not being able to see out one side, smiley wasn't in the car with me. he was at nanna & poppy's at the time.
even if there had been room for smiley, i would never take risks such as that if he was with me in the car.
no one's said anything for me to post this, i just realised that some might be wondering what on earth i was doing with smiley at the time.
