didn't cut my foot open & bleed to death - 08:35 AM

far out. that was so close.
i just stepped on a drinking glass which smiley left on the floor after i turned around without looking to walk over to the sink. i actually stepped right on top of the glass so that it sort of hurt on the bottom of my bare foot. it tipped over under my foot & then smashed into many pieces all over the tiled floor.
i could have cut some major arteries or something & right now be bleeding severely onto the kitchen floor, trying to hobble over to the phone (which is currently in a fairly inaccessible place until i get an extension cord for it to give it a better place) to call an ambulance or maybe rudi & audrey .. but there's not a scratch on my foot.
you know it's the beginning of a great day when you can accidentally step on a glass with your bare foot & break it into tiny pieces without one single piece breaking the skin. 
that aside, we now have a new (more stringently enforced) rule that glasses are never to be left on the floor.
