don's last evening - 09:38 PM

tonight is don's last evening in australia. he left for his hotel about half an hour ago to pack & be ready to go to the airport in the morning.
he was a lovely guest. he paid his own way for everything & even insisted on paying for my way as well. he's 65, so he's old school as far as manners are concerned. he helped to carry bags & opened doors for me. lovely. 
as i said to don while he was here, it was my first time showing an international visitor around town, so i had a really lovely time. we did ordinary things & he even met some of my family, so he was quite pleased. there's nothing like meeting real people to get to know what a country other than your own is really like.
How nice! What a gentleman. J is only 36 but he will open doors for you too.
