loose parts toy storage - 08:10 PM

this isn't my idea since i saw it put into use with some toys from my sister which she gave to me for smiley, but i'll pass it on since it works really well.

mesh laundry bags make great storage for toys that have lots of parts to them. for instance, it works really with toys such as building blocks, play-dough stuff, toy dinner/cooking sets.

ordinary boxes or old plastic containers are good, too of course, but with the mesh laundry bags, you can easily see what's inside & since it's flexible, you can push & shove the whole thing into places where a box might be too big or bulky.

but mesh laundry bags aren't very stackable .. that'd be a big drawback for me.

and i find the best method for toys with lots of parts is to try to avoid getting them in the first place *wink*
