can someone please tell me how my mobile phone synchronised its contacts with outlook express when it appears that i don't actually have outlook express?

Hey.
Depending on the windows version, I think that you need the address book to load or sync. It uses a WAB file for storage. This is probably where you have your addresses now.
You can add/edit profiles in the tools menu.
I am not sure how you may have done this in the past, but it may require software from the phone make.
