bad dream about a crow - 07:56 PM

smiley slept over at nanna & poppy's last night. he tells me that he had a bad dream about a crow:
"i had a bad dream about a crow. it flew up into the tree!"
"why was it a bad dream? was the crow naughty?"
"yes! it tried to get ten! but ten flew away & went into his egg!"
he says this complete with hand motions to indicate ten, the bird, going into an egg. very cute.
ten is the name he gave a little baby kingfisher which flew into the window at nanna & poppy's place on wednesday. it stunned itself & so they kept it in a washing basket to rest & recover until smiley came home from kindy so that he could see it. they then let it go & it flew back to it's mum.
i have no idea if he really did have a bad dream about a crow, but he seems to be pretty set on the idea, so maybe he did. then again, he could just be recounting a story that nanna might have told him. either way, it's pretty darn cute.

what a mind concept he had. a bigger prey chasing a smaller prey. then the smaller prey running to its roots to save itself. quite a conception for a 3-yr old.
