nanna's got it - 06:53 PM

smiley's been doing well today. he only spewed up once on the way to nanna & poppy's place earlier today. while he was there i had much needed sleep & i feel so much better for it. i'm still tired, mind you, but that big sleep really helped.
the not so good news is that audrey (nanna) has caught it! rudi rang me just a few minutes ago to let me know that the poor thing had been spewing her guts up since 3pm.
i wonder if this means that i've missed out on it? it's hard to tell, because smiley's first symptoms showed up while he was having a sleep over at their place on tuesday night, so it could be that they were exposed to it first & the incubation period is a couple of days, or else that audrey got it from him today & her symptoms showed up really quickly.
if the latter is the case, then i might have escaped getting it (although i did have the back end symptoms twice today). if the incubation period is a couple of days, then we'll have to wait & see if i've managed to avoid it.

smiley's perked up a little bit (as opposed to puking up) since he last spewed this morning. he hasn't thrown up for about two hours now, either, even having had a drink or two & something to eat, so that's a very good sign.
he hadn't done a wee all day yesterday & i was a bit worried that he was beginning to become dehydrated, but he did a good long one this morning, so i guess some of what he's been drinking has been absorbed after all.
rudi & audrey just visited to bring smiley some mail from thailand from daddy (a book with numbers, some fish stickers & a cool little bag thing with an elephant on the side & a variety of foreign money in it) & when it was time for them to go, he wanted to go with them, of course. (he loves them to bits & pieces. he'd spend all his time there if he could, i'm sure.)
i was very pleased because now i can have a sleep. ahhhh, yes.
