gorgeous little poem - 07:49 PM
i just read the most beautiful little poem at flickr. the picture was of a mummy getting her work clothes muddy - & not caring - while jumping in puddles with her little darling. this is the poem that someone left as a comment:
quite down cobwebs
dust go to sleep
i'm rocking my baby cuz babies don't keep.
isn't that one of the most beautiful things you've ever read?

Here's the full poem (my MACH nurse gave it out to us all in my Mother's Group three and a half years ago):
I hope that my child, looking back on today
Remembers a Mummy who had time to play
Children grow up when you're not looking
There'll be years ahead for cleaning and cooking
So quiet now cobwebs, dust go to sleep
I'm rocking my baby, and babies don't keep.
