this has been going around. i've been 'interviewed' by being asked five questions which i've answered under the 'more' link.
if you'd like to be interviewed, then you can respond in the comments below by asking me to interview you & i'll then ask you five questions. then you can post them to your livejournal or blog.
below are my five questions from melanie.
1. If there was anything in your life you could go back and change, would you? (and what is it, of course!)
i might make myself a bit taller! but even then, that might change who i am & i'm pretty happy with me just as i am. i've had some weird times over the past four years or so, but if changing one single thing meant that i wouldn't have given birth to smiley or even if it meant i wouldn't have the friends i have today, then no, i wouldn't change a thing.
2. You've lived in quite a few different places - where do you consider home, and is that also the favourite of the places you've lived?
i guess i'd consider home to be brisbane. i've spent most of my life here & this is where most of my family are. i'd say my favourite place to live, though, would be melbourne. i'd live there in a heartbeat if i could. 
i'd miss being near my family & some of my friends, but i really do love melbourne.
3. How do you talk to people as easily as you do? You would have to be one of the friendliest people I know!
lol!! that's a good question. i don't know why i'm so easily able to talk to people. i've disovered that i don't really have a sense of myself in relation to other people. not sure that makes sense to anyone but me. let me try to explain. in action, i suppose it means that i don't really think of what other people might be thinking of me most of the time. i just get caught up in the moment & the excitement of what's going on or what i'm trying to do or achieve & that's what matters to me more. so, for example, when i talk to strangers, my interest in them or in what they're doing is greater than any fear i have of what they might think of me.
4. You seem to be evolving into someone a little more domesticated than you used to be - what's your favourite thing to cook these days?
really? i don't know how you got that idea. lol!! 
what i like to cook seems to change every few weeks. i go through stages. even though i don't cook them very often, my most favourite things to cook are stews or thick soups where everything goes in the one pot or pan. i love them because they're easy to eat, they're healthy because you're not losing any nutrition since no cooking water is being thrown out & i can put in them just the things that i really like.
5. What do you do with the offcuts from the fancy shapes you make things into for Riley's lunch?
they're usually something i like to eat, too, since there's a good chance he might not eat it all, so as well as eating the leftover at the end of the day, i eat the offcuts. i'm not a big fan of plain sandwiches, so if it's something like a cream cheese sandwich, i just try to cut as close to the crusts as i can. i eat the bits which have something on them, but the crusts usually end up being thrown out. if you can't decide to not eat the crusts when you're an adult, there's not much point in growing up, is there? lol!
