mum & the job of care-giving - 07:15 AM

i was just having a conversation with my good mate, dave, about the job of being a mum after i read this short article & also showed it to him.
we related it to the job of being care-giver & i was saying how with those jobs in 'real life' that at least you're paid & have meal breaks & days off, etc.
then i said, "it's just as well that your own child is a hell of a lot cuter than any crotchety old man with incontinence."
hehe. i'm funny.

Being an un-paid care giver to an old person is also a very honourable thing. There are not many people in this world who would wash and old persons sheets and clothes time and time again after they've wet themselves, or scrub the blood stains out of sheets/clothes/carpets etc after they've scratched themselves until they're bleeding. I'd have to argue with you Bernie, being a ful-time parent is indeed tough, but it's tougher when it's the other way around and your caring for your parent.
