glued to each other - 09:59 PM

since i've returned from my week away, smiley & i have been sort of glued to each other. before i left, smiley had been spending about a third of his time with his dad at nanna & poppy's. he enjoyed that a lot & will no doubt continue to spend lots of time there until shroom's paperwork is all in order & he moves to belguim for his new job. over the next few days though, i imagine smiley will want to be spending most of his time here at home, as he already has been since i got back four days ago.
it's probably a good thing anyway, since rudi & audrey might be ready for a bit of a break after having smiley for most of the week i was away. originally, the plan was for him to spend half his time with each of two of his three sets of grandparents (rudi & audrey & mum & bill live close by, while dad & tosca live an hour away at the gold coast), but when mum went to rudi & audrey's to pick him up for his second stay at her house, he didn't want to leave, so he stayed there for the rest of the week.
they love smiley to bits & pieces, but they go above & beyond the call of duty as grandparents even when i'm not on holiday, so they deserve a break.
i understand how smiley is feeling, because i missed him terribly, too. some days when he's been a velcro-baby in the past it's made me wish he was being a little more independant, but since we've been back together, i've been a bit of a velcro-mummy. lol!

smiley's current obsessions are the number 5, the number 30 & rainbows. he gets quite excited about spotting any of those things & has been drawing or writing them pretty much non-stop. heh. 
there's almost always some form of number featuring in whatever he's currently 'into'. he loves numbers.
