rain! - 11:12 PM

it's been raining almost non-stop for twenty-four hours. that's brilliant!
water restrictions have been really severe for ages now & this rain is much-needed. it's the perfect sort of rain, too. soft, gentle, steady rain. a short but heavy downpour, usually typical of brisbane's summer weather, would be bad. it would just cause flooding & chaos, but hopefully this slow, persistant rain will give the ground a chance to soak in some of the water.
i'm surprised it's raining at all, really, because autumn & winter are usually brisbane's dry seasons.
let's hope that some of this rain is falling in the catchment areas to fill some of the increasingly empty reservoirs.
we really need it here in florida. the entire state is in a terrible draught. some are even hoping for some hurricanes to refill the water tables. glad you got some there. maybe you can give fiona a bath soon. lol!
Third day of non-stop raining here in the part of Italy where I live. I'm not complaining: I'm sure sticky hot weather is just around the corner...
