creatures in the wall cavities - 12:05 PM

there seems to be some sort of animal or animals in the wall & ceiling space here at my house. i've heard them scratching around in various places upstairs & down at quiet times of the day & night.
i haven't encountered any urine running down the walls though, as i did in a rather old & decrepit place where i used to live about eight or nine years ago, so i'm not that concerned at this stage. aside from the scratching about, it's never made any loud noise, either, so it doesn't bother me.
by the sound of its movements, it seems to be about the size of a cat or a possum. it might also be a largish rat.
if it starts to cause problems i might do something about it, but in the meantime, it may as well live here with me as anywhere else.

sounds like rats. i've had that problem before. i'd let the landlord know. they can be a problem with chewing up clothes and other concerns (like health issues; they carry just about every kind of disease).
