bug going around - 08:47 PM

seems there's a bug doing the rounds. thankfully (!!!) smiley & i have avoided it so far.
i was planning to drop around to mon & greg's place yesterday morning, but when i called to see if they were home, greg told me monica & the girls were really sick with vomiting & diarrhoea. poor greg was cleaning up after the three of them & (not surprisingly) has come down with it today.
i saw them on sunday, before they were sick, & mon was telling me they were planning to see dad & tosca & the kids the next day, monday. i had the thought that i might call & see if smiley & i could come & gatecrash, but decided not to in the end since we'd already had a fairly busy week & what with it being an hour-long drive to their place at the coast.
turns out it was a good move, because that's who mon & the girls caught it from. luca was the first one to come down with it. it seems most likely that he & kassia were exposed to it from some kids at sunday school but then didn't get sick until monday afternoon. then kassia was sick & thankfully, dad & tosca didn't get sick with it until the kids were mostly better.
let's hope the strong winds around today have blown the virus away somewhere else, because i certainly don't want to get it. the word from dad & monica is that there's no way you want to get this thing. it's awful, by the sounds of it.
