i was just making some scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast & smiley asked for two pieces of toast. after having already put three pieces of bread into the toaster, i thought to myself, "that's good, because i'm not very hungry for some reason & i only feel like one piece."
i set smiley up on the table with his brekky & thought, "i wonder why i'm not very hungry this morning?" then it dawned on me that i'd already eaten breakfast.
duh. memory going much?

smiley was fast asleep last night when he suddenly sat up up in bed. he sat there silently for a moment or two before saying, "i know, i know .. [as if he knew the answer to a question on a tv quiz show] .. it's .. [long pause] .. fings wiff .."
he stopped, scratched absently at his leg once or twice, then lay down & went back to sleep.
