- (see all news for this day)

lessons learned for the day - 10:30 AM

two lessons i learned today:

1. don't put new flannelette sheets on the bed without washing them first unless you're happy to have fluff sticking to the bottom of the doona cover, the top of the doona cover, all over anything you wear in or within five feet of the bed & in a three feet radius on the floor around the bed so that it looks as though there was a very localised snow storm in your bedroom.

2. don't start vacuuming the aforementioned doona cover to remove said fluff unless you're aware that your arm is going to ache from the constant back & forth, back & forth, back & forth movement & you're willing to keep doing the whole thing despite knowing that it's going kill your arm & it's a much bigger job than you thought it would be.

i hope you can learn my mistake.

I can't believe you were so not keen on washing it, that you vacuumed it. Plus it has that horrible chemically new smell too! they aren't nice to sleep on till they are washed......

I can't believe you kept on persevering with the vacuum cleaner! why didn't you just pull it off and wash it?
