lack of proper case - 08:43 PM

since i decided to do the course at uq (uni of queensland) to lead to a career in proofreading, it's been in the back of my mind that i don't use proper case on my website. it's not lack of knowing how, it's simply a style choice .. but it still sort of concerned me.

i just now logged into the 'blackboard' area of the uq intranet relating to my course & have seen some entries there by the lecturer, a lady named roslyn. in those messages, she's typed in all lower case just as i do here. lol!! *chuckle*

I tend to use a mix of proper case and lower case. The lower case stuff, I think, is just laziness on my part.

Since I've been chatting to my niece and nephew on msn, I've become appalled by their lack of ability to spell, and, since they're new to the internet, by their use of things like "ur" and so on. So I'm resolved to write correctly when chatting to them, and to correct them when they write horrible things like that!

I'm a little amused that your interested in proofreading for a job. It seems like you don't proof read your own writing very well. I just noticed a spelling/typo in this entry and it's not the first time. Good luck with that!
