split lip - 03:41 PM

last night smiley split his bottom lip open. he stumbled & kind of fell forward onto the actual toilet & banged his mouth against the edge of the toilet bowl (yes, i know. ow & as well as eww).
it started bleeding straight away & bled heaps! my poor little darling cried, but he was very good with holding the tissue to his mouth when i asked him to so that i could grab a cloth to wipe up the blood on his hands.
he's got a really high pain threshold, that kid. he's been bitten by green ants & had needles & the like & not even flinched. this was a bad one, though. he got himself really good.
i felt so sorry for my little sweetheart, even after he stopped crying & was happily eating the jelly that his nanna had sent him home with earlier. his poor little lip was swollen & red & is still red & sore today.
when i asked him this morning, he told me that it still hurts, but not as much as last night. just as well kids are built tough, hey?
nothing bleeds worse than cut lips. a few shaving accidents has proven that to me. but....we guys are tuff. lol!
That was an 'ouchie.' He'll recover and be bouncing off the walls (again).
