we were just looking at some pics of smiley's friends from bahrain: kalyani (our housekeeper) & his little friend, maddie (my friend megan's daughter). he seems to have forgotten who they are. i sort of suspected it woud happen sooner or later.
he was only two years old when we arrived & we were there for just under a year. we've been back in australia for almost a full year now.
it doesn't seem all that long ago to me, but the space between now & then is a quarter of his whole life & two years old is quite young. it's kind of sad that he's forgotten who they are (especially kalyani, since he spent quite a lot of time with her) but i suppose it was bound to happen.

yup, they have a lot to absorb over these years. it is a little sad, though. they did seem to bond.
