two quails - 10:12 AM

we have two new birds to add to our collection. rudi bought two quails for smiley & brought them around this morning.
they're hanging about at the bottom of the cage (as they do) & looking kind of nervous, wary & a bit antisocial. i think maybe that's what quails do. i suppose melanie could tell me if they'll always be like that or if they're just getting used to their new surroundings & the finches.

well, I could have given you two, anyway! And yes, that's what quails do. That and breed like quails. (who must be on a par with rabbits!)
