rent going up again!! - 05:24 PM

oh. my. god!! my rent is going up again!!
about eighteen months ago, when i first moved in here, my rent was $165 a week. the last time it was coming up to signing a new lease (i'm on six monthly leases), they told me it was going up another $20 a week. i got a letter just now from the real estate agents to tell me that it's going up again by another $20 the next time my new lease is due, which is in two months' time.
i can barely afford the $200 a week that it's costing me now. argghhhh!!
(edited to add: i know that my rent is dirt cheap compared to most out there, but that's partly my point. if i ever want or need to move, i'm going to be in big trouble. the only place that could possibly be cheaper than the poor & crappy end of town that i already live in, would be a place where you wouldn't send your dog to live.)
It is just a sign of the times I'm afraid! I know this is small comfort but your rent is actually pretty cheap these days!
thats not bad actually i am paying (although from the UK) $380 per week...
with the world wide cred1t crunch this is going to happen more and more!
