australia zoo for bindi's birthday - 06:18 PM

tomorrow i'm taking smiley to australia zoo for bindi irwin's birthday celebration. kids get in free, so it's going to cost about half the price it would normally.
smiley absolutely loves bindi, so when i told him tonight that we're going tomorrow, his response was 'yay! yay! yay!' lol!! 
the website says they open at 8 am for her birthday (normally 9 am) & that the first 1000 to enter get a free kids' dvd. it would make sense to get there earlier since it'll avoid peak hour, but it means aiming to leave the house at 5.45 am to get there in time for the gates to open. goodness me. is a free dvd worth it? with the added benefit of missing peak hour, though, i guess we should do it.
i'm really lucky that i double checked when her birthday was on, because i'd put in my diary that it was on in another week!
i should pack the camera in the car now, so that i don't forget it. maybe a change of clothes for smiley, too, since they're going to have snow there for the kids to play in. hehe. sounds like fun. 
so did you end up going - we didnt cause of the rain - it did look fun there though

I got a free family pass that i need to use before the 19th of sept, but im not sure if i will get down there by then.. never been there before,hope i get to go... post some pics, would love to see what its like.
