one lost egg - 07:53 AM

bummer. there's an egg lost already.
i found it on the floor of the cage this morning. i've put it back in the nest, but it's already cold & neither hansel or gretel seem interested in it at all.
the annoying thing is that i hadn't yet set up local save (saving a pic to my hard drive each minute, instead of just uploading one image at a time to ferrousland which is replaced each time by the next image) so i don't know what happened. she may have laid it in the nest & knew it wasn't viable or something & threw it out. or maybe she laid it on the floor instead. or maybe she laid it on the perch & it hit the cage floor. i just don't know.
the egg isn't broken, but it is cold, so i can't imagine that anything's going to come of it.
LOL sorry about the wrong gender ! better go wake up...
Selena is right, this is never a perfect endeavor, 'practice does make perfect'.

Great Idea Coralie, to let us in on the birdies .
first time round there alittle silly I must say , with our budgies we have had for about 3 years and were old enough to produce eggs ,on there arrival ,have just got it down pat .
At the moment we have 4 babies !
Have you bought a egg mix for Hansel to eat ?
Its great for when there breeding and to feed the future babies , its kinda like how we take our vitamens when where Prego :P
