dream of a plant growing in my hand - 06:27 AM
(filed under 'general')

i just woke up from the a dream that had the strangest part in it where there were a couple of little plants growing from my hand.

i'd been camping or visiting a park with a friend & two of the trees there had somehow seeded in the palm of one hand. they'd grown to about as far as the tips of my fingers & were rooted in the curve of my hand closest to my fingers & right in the middle of my pinkie & ring fingers. i pulled one out & it had these long, wiggly, little roots. it didn't really hurt, per se, when i pulled it out of my hand, but it was uncomfortable. i can still feel where it was pulled out from my hand now that i'm awake.

i told the friend that i was with & he didn't want to believe me, even when i showed him the plant which was still in my hand & the one i'd pulled out. i went back to where the car was parked under one of the trees which had grown in my hand & i was trying to identify the juvenile plant i'd pulled out to match it up with the fullly grown tree. i was also going to try to find the tree from which the one still in my hand had come.

in my mind, in the dream, the fact that i'd walked out of that park covered in ticks the last time i'd been there had something to do with how the tree had somehow planted itself in my hand.

i was also madly in love with the friend in my dream. i can see where i got that part from, but i'm not sure i can figure out the bit about the trees planting themselves in my hand.

what an odd dream.

ok.....stretch out all comfy on my couch as i get the pad and pencil ready. now...the plant taking root and growing out of your hand relates to nurturing. a simple need to support and care for someone seems to be the basis. (however, i don't believe in dreams myself.)
