smiley & i are sick today. not extremely sick (although smiley did have a spew earlier), but just kind of off. smiley was complaining of a sore tummy & i know that since yesterday, anything i've had to eat or drink has given me a sore tummy for a few minutes afterwards.
i went to the markets this morning—left home at 4.30 am as i usually do on a saturday—& when i put smiley in the car, he woke up & stayed awake (normally, he barely wakes up & then goes straight back to sleep for another hour). by the time we got there, he was a bit quiet & said he wasn't feeling very well. he had a mild fever, too.
so i told market management that i'd have to take him home & that i'd see them next week. the lady who runs the place (peter hackworth) is a mother & she completely understood. in fact, she encouraged me to take him home.
so we went home to bed. smiley finally fell back to sleep & slept for another hour or so, but i couldn't sleep. i was feeling a little dizzy & it kept me awake. i'm still feeling like that, actually.
since i'm home when i'm usually not, i was sort of hoping to get some work done (on earth and body friendly & another site i'm working on), but my head is swimming with this dizziness & i can't concentrate.
