my body is so sore from moving house - 07:52 AM

the move is coming along nicely, but boy can i feel the effort i've been going to over the past week. i've woken up with such a sore body today.
i have several bruises over one thigh, as well, i think from trying to balance really heavy things on one leg while trying to get the screen door to the new place open. i'd pin it open, but it opens the wrong way, which is a touch annoying (i.e, the door has to be closed to get past it & then opened to allow access into the house. it's on a narrow balcony, so there's no way to get past it when the door is open).
i've had a couple of friends helping me to move. one to help lift the really heavy stuff, another mostly to keep smiley amused so i can get packing/moving done without him asking me to stop every five minutes to play part of his computer game or watch (again) one of his favourite youtube videos about space.
today is the last day i have jo's van & i have only half a day to move stuff since smiley has his usual thursday home education thing going on. bruce is coming around tonight to help with the last of the very heavy/awkward things so i hope to have all of that done by tonight.
this morning i'll pack as much into the van as possible & then go straight from the park with smiley to the new place to empty the van of stuff.
i've taken (yet) another weekend off work so that i can get everything done. i hope to have all the moving done by tomorrow so that i can use all of the weekend to clean the place.
it's getting there. slowly but surely.
