grown up chooks - 06:11 AM

the chookies are all grown up now, two or three of them are even laying! haven't they grown a lot since the beginning?

they're totally free range all the time now. they live on the bugs in the grass & vegetable scraps which we throw to them. they must be doing fine on that, because the eggs we have from them so far have had good strong shells & nice bright yellow yolks.

What lovely, happy looking chookies. BTW They're the kind we used to have on the farm till Mum & Dad went out of the egg business a year or two ago. Beautiful!
