scorpion - 09:29 PM

guess what shroom found way down the back of our property today?

it was maybe 4cm long (about 1½ inches). i don't know if that's very big for a scorpion.

Mmmm, scorpions - right up there with my other favourite creepy crawley - the centipede. My skin was crawling just looking at it. Oh please, please find me a matching centipede - not!

cute little critter. seen a lot of them in cuba and key west. mostly brown and yellow ones though. they ranged from 3 to 6 inches.

This bloke is just a half-pint to his cousins elsewhere. The ones I have seen in Africa will get 8 times (yes, long pull on the beer, my dears) larger... 8O All scorpions are venemous, thus requiring medical attention if one is stung. The one you have pictured was probably looking for his next meal, typically a larger insect.
