noisy sandwich - 07:34 PM
things which bug me
when shroom makes a noisy sandwich in the middle of the night.
sometimes shroom will wake up for a midnight snack, or else he'll still be up sitting at his computer late into the night & get hungry. when this happens, he usually makes a sandwich. he's really good with the light, he'll only use the tiny light on the stove's rangehood, but he tends to be really noisy with the rest of the sandwich-making process.
in the dead of the night i wake up to the *rustle, rustle, rustle* of the wrapper around the bread, a gentle *fwaa!* & *thunk* as the fridge door opens & then closes again, the *tinkle, clunk, rattle* of the cutlery & finally a small *clink* as he grabs a plate.
if there's no cheese to put on a sandwich, he'll make toast, which adds a metallic *clank!* & a *scrape, scrape, scrape, scrape, scrape* to the symphony as his toast pops up & he spreads peanut paste or honey onto it.
he tries to be quiet. i know he does. noises just seem to travel that extra distance when it's past midnight.
My adorable hubby works 12 hour night shifts. On his nights off he can't go to sleep before 2 AM, usually not even until 4 AM. He plays a computer game into the wee hours of the morning. I'm a light sleeper, so he wakes me up when he comes into bed.
Now, I am understanding to a point, as I'm sure both you and Jade are. These guys deserve to roam about and have their snacks, time off to play a game, chips in bed...whatever the case may be. Doesn't mean we can't voice our annoyance. LOL
*lol* Men are weird with their midnight snack fetishes arn't they!!. My ex once brought back to bed 2 slices of bread with nothing on them!, just incase he was hungry later!.As for the chips, well I think it's impossible to eat chips without making a noise!!! believe me i've tried!.
lol.
i hate if daniel eats something like a packet of chips at night. he can't seem to put his hand into the bag without making it make a racket.
and his chewing! god, don't even make me go there.
