how it is that i end up with certain songs going through my head when i wake up when i'm sure i haven't listened to or heard them in a long time.

today it's the theme from 'happy days' .. ??

Well, you know they say that when you dream your mind's often processing what happened the day(s) before? Maybe it does long-term memory recycling as well
